a Crown

I had 15 minutes during lunch today and decided to some shopping therapy at Ross. Nothing to buy, no $$ to spend, just a little cruising through the rows at Ross to look and see.

Now we have a fabulous Ross here in Mt. Pleasant, usually on the clothing side more than housewares. But I usually amble down the picture frame aisle and coffee mug row to see if there's a treasure just waiting.

Today. There. Was. A. Crown.

Yes, THIS crown. Bejeweled and deluxe with gold filigree. Heavy to hold, but full of whimsy and delight. Enough for me to look at and get a glimpse of Esther, being crowned after a year of preparation. Enough to think about the crown He intends for all of us to wear, as Daughters of The King. Enough to light up my eyes. Enough to cause me to lift my head. Enough to make me smile.

What about you, Sisters, Daughters of the Most High King? Have you caught a glance of your crown lately? Are you looking down at the laundry? Down at the piles of work? Looking down at the bills that are unpaid? Looking down at what you see in the mirror?

Look up. Look at the Crown He has for you. Lift your head. He has it ready for you. Maybe on an aisle at Ross.
